If you are interested in having Bill come to speak to your congregation or special gathering, here are some things you will want to know.
First of all, Bill’s schedule fills up pretty fast, so we encourage you to schedule your event as soon as possible.
SPEAKING FEES
Bill does not set a minimum fee to come to your event. A "love offering" or honorarium determined by the host is acceptable. Our philosophy is, "the Father knows what we have need of." So, what the host decides to do financially is between them and the Father.
TRANSPORTATION
The host is expected to take care of transportation expenses. If it is long distance travel, airfare is required. Bill prefers to fly out of ChattanoogaTN but has, in some cases, flown out of NashvilleTN. We can book the travel or, if you prefer, you can book it. That needs to be determined in the beginning. If Bill decides to drive, which he often does, it would be appreciated if the host could help with the fuel expenses. There are occasions when Bill speaks at multiple locations within a region. In such a circumstance, transportation expenses may be minimal or non-existent. If you want to book an event when Bill is already scheduled to be in your area, our office will let you know if there are any transportation needs. LODGING
The host should provide lodging for Bill during the entire event. He prefers to stay in a motel and especially if his family is traveling with him, but will on occasion stay in private homes. There is one provision: No animals. Bill is highly allergic to animal hair.
FOOD
Most people who invite Bill to speak want to know what he likes and doesn't like to eat. The truth is, Bill likes to eat most everything, and especially Mediterranean cuisine (Italian, Greek, etc.). However, there are some things Bill doesn't eat. Pork, shellfish or anything else that is Biblically unclean are definitely undesirable. Other undesirable foods include beets, rutabagas and other roots that fall within the “yuck” category. Oh yeah…make sure there is coffee. This is a must!
TEACHING RESOURCES
Typically Bill will bring or will ship teaching resources to be made available during the meeting. Making sure that there is a table available for these materials is appreciated. It is not necessary to have someone to work the table, but if someone is available, this too is appreciated.
